    Itinerary

    Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu, the bustling capitol of Nepal, for a 2-night stay in four-star accommodations
    Day 02 A guided sight-seeing tour in the morning leaves your afternoon free for individual exploration of this colorful city's narrow streets, carved temples and grand palaces.
    Day 03 Depart Kathmandu for a 45-minute flight across some of the world's most breathtaking views into Lukla.  Trek along steep sided valleys and beautiful rivers to Phakding.
    Day 04 Depart Phakding. Trek across suspension bridges and exposed stone steps on your descent to Namche Bazaar, a charming village dotted with pastel painted roofs and busy shops.
    Day 05 Depart Namche Bazaar.  Trek to Apa's villiage of Thame and stay the night in his family's lodge.
    Day 06 Depart Thame. Trek to Khunde where you will enjoy gorgeous vistas and a visit the hospital built by Sir Edmund Hilary, the only western medical clinic in the region.
    Day 07 Depart Khunde. Trek to Thyangboche and visit the famous Thyangboche Monastery, where it is custom for all Everest expeditions to have candles lit and ask for blessings for their party before their ascent.
    Day 08 - 09 Depart Thyangboche and trek to Dingboche for 2 nights. Aside from enjoying the beautiful scenery and seeing Buddhist stupas, prayer flags and mani stones that are scattered through the region, this is where you will begin altitude acclimatization. Acclimatization is crucial in avoiding altitude sickness and is a process of walking high and sleeping low to adjust to the decreasing oxygen levels you will experience.
    Day 10 - 12 Depart Dingboche and ascend to Lobuche for the 2-nights and an additional acclimatization walk. Along the way, you will be able to pay your respects at memorials built to honor sherpa that have been killed in Himalayan climbing expeditions.
    Day 13 The climax of your adventure.  You will have the option of either ascending to the Base Camp of Mount Everest or climbing up Kala Patter to enjoy breathtaking views of Everest and Khumbu Glacier. Return to Lobuche for the night.
    Day 14 - 17 Depart Lobuche and trek 4 days back to Lukla.
    Day 17 Fly to Kathmandu.
    Day 18 You have a free day in Kathmandu to either sightsee or just relax and recover from your adventure.
    Day 19 Depart Kathmandu for your flight home.
